Boral Expands Accessories Lineup for Versetta Stone Line of Stone Siding
July 1st, 2019Boral Building Products is adding several new products and colors to its accessories system for the Versetta Stone family of stone siding panels, which provide the beauty and texture of authentic stone masonry without the added skill and time required for installation. Together, Versetta Stone accessories make it simple to create a fully finished look without extra hassles or wasted time. Every component, from corners and sills to receptacle boxes to fasteners and adhesives, works as a system with the stone siding panels and is made with the same premium materials and in coordinating styles, colors, and textures.
New additions to the Versetta Stone accessories lineup include:
- Starter strip in Charcoal. The new color expertly coordinates with Versetta Stone’s darker hues of Northern Ash, Sterling, and Midnight, ensuring the starter strip blends with the rest of the wall. Original Taupe is also available. The starter strip installs with mechanical fasteners and has built-in weep holes for drainage.
- Sill in Stone Grey. A lighter grey, joining existing colors of Taupe and Charcoal, the Stone Grey sill works well with Versetta Stone’s Mission Point and Sterling stone siding colors. The sill has a 2.6” exposure and 2” thickness, with the same built-in rainscreen as the siding panels.
- Receptacle box and electrical light box in Stone Grey and Charcoal. Similar to the sill and starter strip, the additional colors make it easy to coordinate and blend with darker Versetta Stone siding panels. Original Taupe also remains available for use with lighter stone colors.
- Product-specific screws. Versetta Stone is already easy to install—fastening to the wall like a traditional siding panel with nails or screws. This new line of screws, designed specifically for Versetta Stone, further simplifies installation: The screws stick to the provided T25 bit, making quick work of placing and driving the screw, and a tapered point quickly bites into the wood. At the same time, Versetta Stone branding ensures contractors select the right screw for the job. Versetta Stone-branded screws are designed for use in wood applications and come in 1-5/8” and 2-1/4” lengths. The fasteners’ coating is code-compliant under AC257 for use with ACQ pressure-treated lumber and under AC233 for structural strength; the coating is Chrome 6-free for adherence to California Proposition 65.
